The Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work is a ½ Day Course with some mandatory pre-course eLearning (self-study). Under Health & Safety Regulations, all organisations must ensure by law that they have a sufficient number of employees that possess a first aid qualification in order to fulfil their first aid needs at all times. Employers must ensure that their provision is ‘adequate and appropriate in the circumstances.’ It is the employer’s responsibility to decide what the requirements of the organisation are by assessing any specific work hazards and ensuring that sufficient equipment, facilities and personnel are available to deal with the consequences of these hazards.
Who is the course for? The Emergency First Aid at Work qualification is aimed at learners who wish to become emergency first-aiders in the workplace. This qualification meets the requirements for training emergency first-aiders in those organisations that have identified that staff need to be trained to this level within their first-aid needs assessment. This course is also a pre-requisite when attending either the SIA Door Supervisor Training, SIA Door Supervisor ‘Refresher’ Training, or SIA Security Officer ‘Refresher’ Training courses. You must hold a current and valid First Aid or Emergency First Aid certificate that meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. This course satisfies this requirement! If you do have any questions about this course, please do not hesitate to contact us.
